Coconut + Brownie
These two sweethearts were left behind by a fellow who had his horses at the ranch for awhile. Like we do with all the animals who come through our front gate, we offered them a life with us.
Did you know that sheep have a greater ability to recognize and remember faces than humans and primates? They can recognize more than 50 different sheep faces and remember humans from 2D images, even from different facial angles.
Coconut and Brownie are hair sheep. They differ from wool sheep in that they shed annually, do not require shearing (though we do help them out by shearing them in the spring and early fall, and are more resistant to heat (good for Paso Robles!) and parasites.
When rains bring spring grass, you’ll find Coconut and Brownie out grazing the alleys and around the barns.
The cost to sponsor Coconut and Brownie is $250 per month, or $125 each, which funds their residence, along with feed, water, shears and hoof trims. Baaahhhh!
