We are delighted to announce the opening of Flag Ranch School, an experiential learning program that teaches life skills through ranch care, for children ages 9 to 12.
Through the tending of our animals ranging from horses mini and large, to our “mascots” — three goats, two sheep, two mules, a burro, one very dear pot-bellied pig, and a colony of free-ranging cats, we explore:
Observation and listening skills
Greater self-awareness and self-expression
Grounding, emotional regulation and resilience
Body, instinctual and situational awareness
Intuition, trust and discernment
Thoughtful decision-making
Clear verbal and non-verbal communication
Healthy collaboration
Community, belonging and friendship
Understanding, respect, compassion and empathy
Our first session runs from July 11 through August 29, 8 weeks on Saturday mornings, for eight children. Our second session begins on September 12 and runs through October 31. Tuition is $1000 per child. We offer siblings a 10% discount. One scholarship is available each session. For more information or to add your child to our waiting list, please email us.
